Preparing to settle divorce cases can present special tax problems.   An outstanding divorce team will include a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) divorce and tax professional.   Federal income tax provisions do not always apply as expected.   This relationship should begin well in advance of preparing a divorce settlement.
